After the battle things happened pretty quickly. Lucy and her siblings were crowned Kings and Queens of Narnia. It was a glorious day in the history of Narnia. In fact, there probably wasn't one quite like it. Never has there been a King and Queen in Narnia like the Pevensie Family. And I was given a high position in the government to reward me for how I helped Lucy in
the beginning. It was all so wonderful.
Years went by, and I saw a white stag run past my cave. This wasn't any old stag. It was a magical stag which could grant wishes if caught. It was almost a mythical beast since no one had seen the White Stag in many a year. I couldn't help but to run to Cair Paravel to tell High King Peter.
It took no time for a hunting party to be put together. Many rode out to find the stag, but after time the stag ran into a thick piece of the woods. The Kings and Queens followed on foot... and never came back.
We waited for what seemed like hours, but then it dawned on me. We were so close to the Lamp Post. It had been so long, I nearly forgot about the Lamp Post. We all came to realize that our Kings and Queens headed back to through the Ward Robe to the Spare Oom and we would never see them again.
This was a sad day in Narnia, but it was time to move forward to start anew to keep Narnia on the path of good and not evil.

Defeat of the Queen!
While it's true I could detect gloom, I could also detect utter joy. The dawn of the next day was the exact opposite of the previous evening. While the sun set with impending doom, the sun rose with a sense of such inexplicable happiness I could not barely contain my excitement.
In time, I could hear cheers and shouts from within the castle. I had not been enslaved here for long, but long enough to know that sounds like this never happen in the Witch's home. But then, I saw my compatriots dancing and me! Such color and glee! I cannot describe it!
Then, Lucy... my friend LUCY!... appeared before me. And she started to call for Aslan of all people.
Aslan came to me, looked me in the eye and breathed on me. And I came to life again! Not a stone likeness of myself but really alive. Able to jump and dance and shout and sing once again!
After a lot of celebration, Aslan started to prepare us for our journey. We ran as fast as we could to the battle scene and arrived in time to see Peter defeat the Witch.
Peter DEFEATED the Witch! Just like that, the war was over. Narnia was free again!
And to think that I was there to see the end of the reign of terror. It's too good to imagine. Praise Aslan who gave himself so others could live.

This Cannot Be Good!
The Witch and Edmund were gone for a very long time.
While they were gone, I heard the glorious sounds of birds chirping and tweeting in the air. And if I listened close I could hear the sounds of gushing water as nearby streams turned to churning rivers. It was a great time to be alive (if only I weren't made of stone) to know the witch's spell was broken.
Then, something horrible happened. The castle courtyard was filled with all sorts of evil beasts. Some of them I recognized and others were new to me. I thought I knew all the beasts of Narnia, but I was wrong. And the cackling and boasting! They were jeering about something and claiming the ultimate victory.
They weren't there long, but I kept hearing the chant, "Death to Aslan! The Lion is dead!"
I may be a faun turned into a statue, but this scared me more than anything else has in my life. I hope Lucy and her family can help us!

The End of the Witch's Magic
I don't know if you've ever been a statue before, but I must say it's a fairly odd experience. While I was a solid stone statue of myself to the casual observer, I was more of a tortured mostly conscious version of myself in reality. I could see, feel, and think. I just couldn't move... and that is a very uncomfortable feeling.
I only tell you this so you understand how I could observe a few strange events while in this state.
I already told you about when Edmund came to the castle. I was rather certain that he was the one who told on me to begin with, bringing about my captivity. He arrival proved that to me and that he was a traitor. What I didn't expect was to see him leaving with the Witch so soon after returning. And I think he finally realized her tyranny because he was not in a place of prominence on her sledge. No, he was sitting at her feet and looking quite miserable. Forgive me, but I didn't feel bad for him one little bit.
Not long after they left, something else strange happened. The snow on the people (I refuse to call them statues!) in front of me started to melt. In fact, I felt my snow melting too. This wasn't just a small winter thaw of an inch or two. No, it was all melting! First, the snow was replaced by slush, followed by mud. Not hours after my first observation of the melt, I saw grass for the first time in my life! Oh, if only I wasn't stone! I would love to put my hoofs in that sweet and lovely thick green grass!
This can only mean one thing. The Witch's magic is losing grip on Narnia! I can only guess that Aslan has come and this will all be over soon!

Edmund Comes to the Castle
I never thought it would happen to me. I always tried to be an obedient faun and stay out of the witch's way. Well, as you know by now, Lucy was just too kind to be treated like a common criminal so I did something I never would have dreamed possible. I helped her escape back to her own world. And I'm glad I did! I have a friend for life who will always be there for me.
However, every action has a consequence. The consequence for disobeying the witch is being turned to stone. I don't want to talk much about that. It was an event I would love to forget. I will say that it was strange being frozen into position and literally a stone statue but still being aware of what was going on around me.
One day, Edmund came to the castle. I had a suspicion that he would be the traitor and that he had already formed a relationship with the so-called queen. My field of vision is limited but I saw him approach me and look deep into my eyes. He muttered something about the possibility of me being Tumnus and how I got was I deserved.
The next thing I knew, I heard a lot of yelling from the witch. It seems that Edmund did not do as he was commanded and he was going to get in a lot trouble too.
A war is going to break out for the future of Narnia. I am sad that I won't be able to fight, but I will be happy if the White Witch loses and Narnia is restored to its former glory.

At the Witch's Castle
The White Witch's Castle is not a place anyone visits willingly. No, it is the very seat of evil in Narnia and somewhere only the vilest of our country will go to. So, everything I knew of the castle was merely myth and legend.
I am sorry to say that the legends are completely true. The castle itself is made of ice -- tall turrets of sheer ice. Inside, from the very gate, clear up to the witch's throne, is the most wicked -- most horrid -- part of the entire castle. My countrymen, my compatriots, all those who dared to share their displeasure of the witch's regime, were all turned to stone. Statues, but statues made of actual people. Some of them were my friends. If I wasn't so scared I would have been weeping. Because I knew that it wouldn't be long before I became one of them myself.
My only hope at this point is that Lucy was able to bring her siblings with her to Narnia. Surely, with two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve, the prophecies will begin to come true. It won't be long before the White Witch is defeated and Aslan will reign supreme again!

My Arrest
I thought I was free and clear, that I was safe from the White Witch. If Lucy had only come once, I think I would have been safe, but that second visit was what did me in. One day, I was sitting in my cave enjoying an evening in front of the fire.
The soldiers -- so many soldiers -- came crashing into my beautiful cave. Two of them held me down in my chair while the others went around smashing everything of value. Break this, slash that. Throwing my belonging across the room. I tried to protest, but a big strong paw clamped over my mouth. I wasn't even allowed to yell for help.
Then, they tied me up and dragged me out of the cave. They showed me a notice they were nailing to the cave wall. I was being arrested for helping and fraternizing with humans. I had been found out. The spies finally told on me.
Then came the horrid journey to the witch's castle. Dragging, laughing, kicking, beating. I was in a miserable way when I arrived at the castle. I dare not tell you the terrible things that happened there. Maybe in my next post.
I just hope that Lucy is safe and never comes back to Narnia!
